Finally, an update! It's been so long, hasn't it?
My friends are here visiting me in Japan so we have been in Tokyo for a week and we cosplayed at Comiket! Today we go back to my apartment in Kyoto.

Me as Baiken on the right and Chris as Overture Sol on the left.

His super tall shoes attracted a ton of attention. We really didn't do ANYTHING that day other than stand in one spot and get mobbed by cameras.

Though I don't like how restrictive Japanese cons are, the people are very nice and polite when it comes to pictures. My friends met the editor of OtakuUSA and she said we'd be in the Feb Issue apparently. So that was pretty neat.

The changing room has no mirrors or anything, so my costume had some malfunction problems but I did the best I could under the circumstances.

The cosplayers there are amazing though. There were so many beautiful costumes.

Off-camera was Tali as Milla Rage and Skye as Dizzy.
Happy New Year everyone!!

I'm actually kinda curious, how exactly were they restrictive? :O Was it with the cosplays? Or with props and stuff? Or just people in general? (Amazing cosplays by the way!) XD

Props have to be the size of a piece of paper (or smaller). You can only arrive on site in plain clothes and must change in the designated changing areas. You can only wear the cosplay and pose for photos in two locations (one being the roof). You know, stuff like that. I believe there's an English translation of their rules on their website but if you do go, you may want to take something for translation (depending on how fluent you are) because all the signs (like for the changing rooms) are in Japanese.
