Description
Taken in Kyoto, Japan
Person is me
This is a preview of a shoot taken by Chris. He flies home tomorrow and he took a gazillion photos while here in Japan so I asked for this preview shot to help me survive the upload wait haha. I really love his photography style, especially because it is simple, clean, and natural.
It was taken shortly after dawn so I'm scrunching up from the cold and wind.
Anyways, I'm really going to miss him! He's my best friend and my brother.

There is something strangely haunting about this picture. Almost out of place, but not in bad sense.
I don't think it is the fact that you a red headed western in a kimono, but that you are "scrunching up from the cold and wind." One usually associates such exacting posture with a kimono, but here there is a strange mixture of vulnerability with propriety, which adds to the artistic quality.
I hope you still keep in contact with your friend.
Thank you for sharing your talent.
